If there’s one live tournament that everyone’s talking about this year, it’s definitely the MegaPokerSeries! Launched in Vienna in January, the MPS has become the most unmissable European deepstack tournament in just a few months!
After Vienna and Nottingham, the MegaPokerSeries will next be stopping in Spain for a 3rd stage between the 13th and the 17th June. This stage will be particularly prestigious as famous international tournament director Thomas Kremser will be joining the MPS team.
For players who’d like to qualify online, Poker770 are organising super satellites with buy-ins of just €80+€8, every Sunday at 20:00 (lobby time).
The last super satellite will take place on the 3rd June, so there’s not a lot of time left for you to win your €1,600 package!
Follow the example of the qualifiers below, play next Sunday and win your package to Madrid.
Name: Aliaksei K.
Username: JungerSlots
Town: Minsk, Belarus
Aliaksei has only been playing poker for 6 months, but he’s already quite an accomplished player, finishing first in the MPS Super Sat and winning his ticket to Madrid! To prepare himself for the MPS, Aliaksei is going to play in some live tournaments at the Minsk PokerHouse.
His advice to other players? ‘Give yourself a goal for the year and acheive it!’
Name: Andrii K.
Username: Froststorm
Town: Kiev, Ukraine
Andrii started playing poker on Poker770 just over six months ago and what he likes best about our site are the freerolls which help new players get a bankroll. After several hours playing in the MPS Super Sat, Andrii finally got to the final. He thought he was going to have to play heads up with the chipleader, but two crtitical errors made by the latter meant that he took first place.
His advice to other players? ‘Never stop learning. Every day, every hour!’
Name: Stanley B.
Username: callthebluffdonk
Town: Toronto, Canada
Stanley is probably the player who is going to have to travel the farthest to get to Madrid! But he can use it to take a holiday and see Europe. Stanley’s been playing on Poker770 for a year and he prefers the sit’n'go’s in Heads up.
His advice to other players? ‘Work hard and generally you’ll get rewarded’
Name: Antonio G.M.
Username: qAQdCartas
Town: Potes, Spain
Antonio G.M. is a loyal member, having player on Poker770 for four years. At first poker was just a bit of fun but he’s now been playing at a semi-professional level for 2 years. Antonio has been playing on Poker770 for such a long time because he likes the promotions offered, as well as the quality of the online and live tournaments. It’s also reassuring that Poker770 have their very own Pro team representing them. He was happy to win a Mega Poker Series package but he would have taken partin the MPS whether he’d won the satellite or not.
Congratualtions to all our qualifiers. Don’t forget that there are still 3 super satellites before the Madrid MegaPokerSeries.
If you’re still not convinced, perhaps qAQdCartas can persuade you:
‘I’d like to say to the other players that they shouldn’t miss the Madrid MPS because it’s going to be an amazing tournament! They should seize the opportunity given by Poker770 and qualify online for very little money!’

It started as huge adventure for German Online Qualifier Thomas Beer, who won the entry to the Irish Open 2012 through Poker770 and was about to play his first ever big live tournament. Many big names such as Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Xuan Liu, Freddy Deeb, Jason Wheeler and the best of British Poker participated in the 3,500€ Main Event, but none of them made it to the Final Table.
The young German student however crowned a huge comeback on Day 3 with the fourth place overall going into the Last 9 out of a 502 player strong field and took over the Chiplead after the fifth hand, when he knocked out Andy Black as well as Philip Magennis in the same hand after his Aces held up for a huge pot. In Heads-Up he was faced by Vandermissen who finished 2nd in EPT Snowfest last year and the experience as well as a great run of cards should pay off for the Belgian, who ultimately knocked out the 770 Online Qualifier in 2nd place.
Nonetheless, Thomas Beer used the incredible opportunity of his young poker career without showing any fear and convinced with decent play and a great overall performance at the tables. He will be joining the 770 Pro Team for the 3rd stop of the Mega Poker Series 2012 from June 13th to 17th at the Casino Gran Madrid. A dream come true? This could be you as well, just participate in the various Online Satellites for big live events on Poker770 and you can be the next to make history!
